Vall d´Hebron Institute of Oncology (VHIO) is a leading cancer research center associated with Vall d’Hebron University Hospital that integrates translational and clinical research to tackle the most pressing challenges in cancer research and patient care. VHIO is now accepting applications for a Junior Group Leader position. We seek applications from outstanding early-career investigators eager to establish an independent research laboratory in computational cancer research oriented to understanding mechanisms of disease and generating insights for clinical translation in oncology. Applicants should have a PhD or MD/PhD degree, demonstrate a strong track-record of publications during their postdoc, and proven capacity to attract competitive funding.
The successful candidate will be provided with laboratory space, a competitive start-up package, and access to state-of-the-art core units and facilities to develop their research proposal. They will be expected to work within a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary environment, in close interaction with clinical researchers within the context of our transversal taskforces.

Requirements:
- PhD or MD/PhD degree.
- A strong publication record during PhD and postdoctoral training.
- Proven ability to attract competitive research funding.
- Commitment to collaborative and interdisciplinary research.

- Letter of Intent describing your scientific trajectory to date and motivation for leading an independent group at VHIO.
- Research Proposal (max. 3 pages) outlining your vision and main research lines for your independent research program.
