Job description:
The Prostate Cancer Research Group is seeking a Research Technician to join our lab.
Our group mission is to improve advanced prostate cancer management through a better understanding of tumour response and resistance mechanisms and by correlating clinical and molecular data to advanced towards a more precise patient care. Our multidisciplinary team is composed by biomedical scientists, bioinformaticians, medical oncologists and clinical data specialists. Over the last few years, our team has established a collection of patient-derived xenograft models from patient tumor biopsies, that we now use for in-vivo experiments studying mechanisms of tumor sensitivity and resistance to different therapeutic approaches for prostate cancer.

The successful candidate will form an integral part of our group. The position will include support for scientific training when required and opportunities to participate and lead new projects.
Main tasks:
- Cell culture and in-vitro experiments with cel lines
- Conduction of in-vivo experiments in mouse models, including in vivo drug administration (oral gavage, ip administration), other minor surgeries (orchiectomy) and tissue processing.
- Support postdoctoral investigators in the generation of 3D organoid models from xenografts and cell line models.
- The candidate will also be in involved in the histological characterization of in vitro and in vivo specimens.
- The candidate will be expected to support to the lab manager in daily laboratory management tasks including testing cell lines for mycoplasma, review and prepare stock of reagents,….
Requirements:
- Prior experience working with laboratory mouse models in the field of cancer research
- Full accreditation for working with mice models in Spain.
- We required a very organized, pro-active, team-oriented individual able to coordinate and perform multiple tasks.

Conditions:
- 📝Temporary contract for 9 months, with the possibility of extension.
- 🗓️Full-time position, 37.5 hours per week.
