Job description:
The Stem cells and Cancer Group, led by Dr. Héctor García Palmer, is seeking a motivated and skilled Bioinformatics Technician with expertise in genomics and transcriptomics to join our team. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research focused on investigating mechanisms of resistance to novel therapeutic agents.
Our group actively collaborates in multiple European research consortiums and with leading pharmaceutical companies. We employ state-of-the-art patient-derived preclinical models, including organoids and xenografts, genetically engineered mouse models, and clinical samples to elucidate mechanisms of therapeutic resistance in colorectal cancer.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and optimize robust pipelines for genomic and transcriptomic data processing.
Assist in the analysis and interpretation of results across diverse research projects, collaborations and contracts with pharmaceutical companies.
Integrate and analyze multi-omics datasets, including whole-exome sequencing (WES), DNA methylation, single-cell RNA-seq, and bulk RNA-seq data.
Work closely with team members to ensure high-quality, reproducible, and well-documented research outputs.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in bioinformatics, maths, biological sciences, or a related field.
At least one year of hands-on experience with genomics and/or RNA-seq data analysis.
Knowledge of genomics and transcriptomic analysis tools, and familiarity with other relevant pipelines.

Conditions:
📝Permanent contract.

💶Salary according to qualifications and experience following VHIO pay scales.
