Job description:
The Computational Immunogenomics Group, led by Dr. Francisco Martínez-Jiménez, is seeking a motivated and skilled postdoctoral fellow to join our team. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research at the intersection of immunogenomics, computational biology, and cancer immunotherapy.
The successful candidate will play a leading role in the analysis of somatic alterations in T lymphocytes and matched tumor genomes within the ERC-funded tL-CHANCER project (https://vhio.net/2025/12/09/erc-consolidator-grant-3/).
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the analysis and interpretation of genomic data generated within the tL-CHANCER project
Drive the integration of results across multiple analytical components of the project
Co-mentor and coordinate with junior team members to ensure successful completion of assigned tasks
Work closely with wet-lab researchers to ensure smooth coordination between experimental and computational efforts
Collaborate with wet-lab researchers and data infrastructure teams to ensure high-quality, reproducible research outputs
Required Qualifications:
PhD in cancer genomics, immunogenomics, computational biology, or a related field
At least one first-author publication in a peer-reviewed journal or available as a preprint
Experience analyzing cancer and/or healthy genomes
Experience with positive selection analysis (desirable)
Knowledge in T-lymphocyte biology, immunology, or immunotherapy would be considered a plus.
Strong programming skills in Python and/or R, as well as Bash
Strong organizational and project management skills
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment
Excellent written and spoken English

Conditions:
📝Permanent contract.
