Position description:
The Vall d´Hebron Institute of Oncology´s (VHIO) Radiomics Group, headed by Raquel Perez-Lopez (MD, PhD), is currently seeking an outstanding Computer Scientist to join our multidisciplinary team developing advanced computational methods for quantitative medical imaging and multi-modal data integration.
This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to internationally leading research at one of Europe's premier comprehensive cancer centres, working alongside clinicians, imaging scientists, molecular biologists, bioinformaticians and AI researchers to develop technologies that directly impact patient care.
Our research focuses on transforming complex imaging and molecular data into clinically meaningful biomarkers that enable earlier cancer diagnosis, improve prognostic assessment, and predict treatment response, accelerating the implementation of precision oncology.
About the Radiomics Group and VHIO:
The VHIO Radiomics Group develops innovative computational methodologies at the interface of artificial intelligence, computer vision and computational oncology.
We combine quantitative imaging with genomics, transcriptomics, pathology and clinical information to discover imaging biomarkers that capture tumor biology non-invasively and support personalized treatment decisions.
Our projects combine methodological AI research and close clinical translation, offering access to unique multimodal datasets and collaborations with leading international clinical and research networks. VHIO´s pioneering model and programs, coupled with its belief in combining strengths through cross-border collaborations, continue to drive advances in reversing cancer resistance, preventing metastatic spread, and more effectively treating even the most aggressive tumor types.
